The letter asserted – prematurely – that “no plausible allegations of widespread misconduct have arisen,” before county-level evidence had been developed. This coordinated use of official state authority to pressure the federal DOJ to cease election-fraud investigations constitutes potential interference with federal election-oversight functions.
