Established Fact
On November 18, 2020, Monica Palmer received death threats via text message, including photographs of naked, mutilated bodies and images of her daughter. The sender, identified as 23-year-old college student Katelyn Jones, was subsequently arrested and charged. This conduct constitutes criminal threats under MCL § 750.543m and potentially interstate threat transmission under 18 U.S.C. § 875(c). The arrest and charging of Jones is an established fact; however, no investigation was conducted into whether the political actors who created the climate of intimidation bear any vicarious or conspiracy liability.
