Between November 2020 and July 2021, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, in coordination with Michigan State Police, launched investigations targeting private citizens who had spoken publicly about election irregularities – including individuals who had submitted sworn testimony to legislative committees. Simultaneously, the AG’s office:
- declined to investigate or prosecute the documented doxing and intimidation of Canvassers Palmer and Hartmann;
- declined to perform substantive investigation of Dominion CEO perjury allegations; and
- directed investigative resources against election-integrity advocates rather than election officials in response to the Michigan Senate Oversight Committee referral.
This pattern of selective enforcement is consistent with weaponization of prosecutorial authority to suppress election-integrity oversight.
