Disputed Fact
Brian McCaffrey served as a credentialed poll watcher at the Philadelphia Convention Center during the 2020 General Election. On Election Night he posted a widely circulated video in which he stated: “My name is Brian McCaffrey. I’m a registered Democrat in the City of Philadelphia . . . They will not allow us within 30 to 100 feet. This is a coup against the President of the United States of America . . . There is corruption at the highest level in the City of Philadelphia.” Note: McCaffrey’s registration as a Democrat is stated by him on video; this has not been independently verified in official voter rolls in available public records. The Washington Post referenced him as “Brian McCafferty” [sic] as an official observer.
Disputed Fact: McCaffrey’s observation of distance restrictions is consistent with the distances confirmed by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court record (fn. 56); characterization of those restrictions as a “coup” is his personal interpretation and is legally contested.
