Disputed Fact
[Disputed Fact – As to whether knowingly false] Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson publicly stated on radio that the window obstruction at the TCF Center was done by police because challengers were “breaking the windows.” This statement was demonstrably false: the pizza boxes and cardboard were placed on the inside of the windows by workers and Democrat-aligned operatives. Benson’s false public statement was made in her official capacity as the state’s chief election officer. If made knowingly, it constitutes a false official statement in a matter affecting the public interest and potentially 18 U.S.C. ยง 1001 if federal election oversight was implicated.
