Suppression of State Farm Arena Surveillance Reporting (GA)

Following the December 3, 2020, release of State Farm Arena surveillance video – which showed ballot boxes emerging from under tables and scanning resuming without observers after observers had been told counting was complete – EIP and platform moderators applied the “delegitimization” content category to posts sharing the video footage and underlying reporting. Content characterized as corroborating the video’s significance was flagged for reduction in algorithmic visibility. Primary video evidence that had been the subject of a Georgia State Election Board proceeding was thereby suppressed from mass distribution at the precise moment of its greatest public relevance.
