WisVote Rolls Exceed Eligible Population – 7.3M Registrations vs. 4.6M Eligible Residents (WI)

Disputed Fact

Election integrity activists have pointed out that Wisconsin’s statewide voter system (WisVote) contains millions of inactive records in addition to about 3.6–3.8 million active registered voters, which can produce headline figures of 7–8 million “names” when active and inactive lists are combined. As of late 2020, WEC reported approximately 3.7 million active registered voters and a voting‑age population of about 4.54 million, with active registrations increasing by about 11.9% (roughly 404,000) from July 1 to December 1, 2020. Critics argue that Wisconsin’s list‑maintenance practices under Wis. Stat. § 6.27 and NVRA leave too many outdated or inactive records in WisVote, while WEC responds that maintaining inactive records is required by law and does not itself indicate fraud or noncompliance. ,
