Established Fact
Per MCL 168.813, the state Qualified Voter File (QVF) must reflect the list of people who voted within 7 days of an election. According to Michigan Law (MCL 168.509q), voter history data must be retained in the QVF for a minimum of 5 years. Examination of the voter history data stored in the November 2025 QVF reveals that the number of voter IDs that cast ballots in 2020 election is 499,850 fewer than the 5,579,317 ballots that the Michigan Secretary of State says were cast in the 2020 election. The scale of the imbalance between number of voters and ballots is more than 3 times the reported margin of victory for Joe Biden over Donald Trump in the 2020 election.
