Detroit Write-In Precinct Tape Discrepancy (MI)

Reasonable Inference

Poll worker overseeing Precinct 374 in Detroit provided affidavit that the tabulator printouts indicated write-in votes but none of the ballots that he saw featured write-in votes. This could indicate that the ICP was programmed to flag certain ballots (perhaps Trump votes) as “write-in” so that the ballots would be diverted to the write-in bin and swapped with new ballots denoting Biden votes or blank write-ins. The write-in ballot diversion feature could be used to facilitate ballot swaps and reinforce the “just look at the ballots” mantra.
