Wayne County Canvassing Board Intimidation – Coordinated Coercion of Quasi-Judicial Officials (MI)

Disputed Fact

[Disputed Fact – As to coordination of Aiyash/Staebler statements; Kinloch promise coordination uninvestigated] On November 17, 2020, Michigan State Representative Ibrahim Aiyash publicly doxed Wayne County Board of Canvassers Chair Monica Palmer during her official quasi-judicial deliberations, identifying her home municipality and referencing her minor daughter. Wayne State University Vice President Ned Staebler made inflammatory statements at the same session. Both statements were subsequently deleted from the public recording of the meeting. The following day, Palmer received death threats accompanied by images of mutilated bodies and photographs of her daughter. The coercion succeeded: Palmer and Hartmann initially reversed their certification votes following a false promise of an independent audit by canvasser Jonathon Kinloch – a promise subsequently repudiated by Secretary Benson.
