CISA requested the creation of the Election Integrity Partnership in July 2020, then fed state/NGO complaints into EIP’s Jira system, monitored outcomes, and celebrated successful takedowns. EIP partners (Stanford Internet Observatory, UW Center for an Informed Public, Graphika, Atlantic Council DFRLab) systematically targeted “delegitimization of election results” narratives, a category that disproportionately encompassed election-integrity critiques, including posts from President Trump’s official account. The DNC participated directly in EIP ticketing while the RNC declined, creating a structurally asymmetric censorship apparatus during an ongoing federal election.
